REMEDIES AND THEIR INDICATIONS
Allium cepa 30: Sneezing, watering from eyes and nose; nose and 1ip sore and raw, rawness may extend to throat and chest. Worse in warm room and better in fresh, open air; injury of nerves.
Aloe soc. 30: Diarrhoea accompanied by colicky pains, constant urge to pass stools but only flatus comes out or vice versa. Passes stools involuntarily, jelly like stools; lumbago (low backache); bleeding piles; soreness and heat in rectum. Haemorrhoids protrude like grapes.
Aconite nap. 30: Ailments with great intensity due to fright, exposure to dry cold winds, accompanied with anxiety, impatience, restlessness and fear of death; patient even forecasts about the time of death. Sudden sneezing and cold with clear hot watery discharge from nostrils; intense thirst; fever; palpitation; buzzing in ears; severe body pains; earache; toothache; suppression of menses and headache, etc. Better by local heat.
Antim. tart. 30 or 200: Diseases of the mucous membrane of the respiratory organs. Great rattling of mucous in the throat but very little is expectorated, vomiting and drowsiness, burning in chest and throat. Tongue thickly white coated. Useful in bronchitis, pneumonia, asthma, cough, pleurisy, eruptive, and bilious fevers. Worse lying on left side and better by lying on right side.
Apis mel. 30: In fever or in inflanunations; dry heat and sweating alternate. Burning and stinging sensation (pain) with rapid severe, shiny, swelling of effected body parts, such as bad throat, boils, urticaria, rheumatic pains and fever, etc. Loss of thirst, high fever, frequent chills, meningitic cry in sleep; severe headache, patient bores head into the pillow. Worse by hot bath or heat in any form and better by cold, cold bathing, etc.
Arnica mont. 200: Ailments due to injury, shock, etc., like diarrhoea, dysentery, and fever. In dysentery long interval between stools, namely 4 to 6 hours. Wasp bite, summer boils; bruised pains; acute, sharp, fixed or darting pain in apex and through upper 3rd portion of left lung. Aversion from being touched, bed feels hard. Spine very sensitive. Worse from movement but has to keep moving. Though quite unwell, says she/he is alright. Pain in legs after long walk or over exertion.
Arsenic alb. 30: Diarrhoea, vomiting or fever, etc., from taking tinned/rotten food (over ripe fruits, etc.). Complaints accompained by fear, restlessness, rapid exhaustion, and buming sensation; unquenchable thirst; burning or stabbing pains. Catches cold with every change of weather, sneezing, thin watery, burning hot and excoriating; discharge. Burning in eyes, stomach, etc.; wheezing respiration with frothy phlegm. Desire for hot drinks. Worse at midnight and better by warmth.
Belladonna 30: Severe cold, high fever, intense headache; complaints due to exposure to cold, hair cut, etc.; complaints accompanied by hot burning skin, staring pupils, rush of blood towards head, turmoil in brain, face red, pulse full and bounding. Colicky pain better by bending foreward; tickling cough with dryness of larynx, feels as if head will burst due to coughing. Digging, throbbing earache or toothache with dry mouth; loss of thirst or variable thirst. Violent cutting or tearing pains in neck, spine.or hips; worse when at rest. Restless sleep with frightful dremns. Early, painful menstruation. Bearingdown feeling, as if all the viscera would protrude at genitals, worse on lying down and better by standing.
Bryonia alb. 30: Sneezing, cold with watering of nose and eyes; lips and mouth dry; painful dry, hard, spasmodic cough with stitches and soreness in chest and bursting headache; fever, jaundice; biliousness, dull pain in liver region. Pain in nape, back, and limbs, etc., after exposure to dry cold winds. Epistaxis due to suppression of menses. Complaints accompanied by headache, thirst for large quantities of cold fluid at long intervals- stools hard, constipated; patient always dwells on business affairs. Worse by slightest movement and better by lying still. Shooting pain; itching or burning all over the body on slight mental emotion, like laughing or just thinking of it.
Cactus g. 30: For constriction as of an iron band; affections Of heart, arterie, gullet, stomach, intestine, bladder, etc. Whole body feels as if constricted. Violent rapid action of the heart, palpitation worse by lying on left side. Angina pectoris with suffocation, cold sweat; pulse feeble and irregular.
Cantharis 30: Cystitis; hums and scalds; redness and intense burning of affected parts. Burning pains in ureth urine; palor of face; dysentery with shreddy, blood
Carbo veg. 30: Gastric complaints, pain and tenderness in pit of stomach after half an hour of eating which spread to chest, back, and along the spine. Excessive and offensive flatus; aversion to meat, milk, and fat; desire for sweets and salty foods. Internal heat with external coldness. Body pale, cold, bluish, covered with cold sweat; breath is also cold; desire for air, to be fanned. Better by belchig or passing wind.
Chamomilia 30: Complaints caused by anger or at the time of teething; one cheek pale cold the other buming red; intolerable pains, earache, toothache, etc.; worse from heat. Colic of teething infants; teething diarrhoea; slimy, grass-green stools containing undigested food, smell like rotten eggs. Sleeplessness and restlessness in Ist part of night; child wants to be carried all the time.
Chelidonium 6: Periodical nervous pains drawing in nature, wandering from one joint to another, especially on the left side; prostration, weariness of the limbs, cough due to liver disorders, jaundice with thin, bright yellow or white watery, painless stools; rumbling in the abdomen before and during stools.
China 30: Complaints due to loss of fluid associated with faintness, dimness of vision, ringing in ears. Debilitating, painless diarrhoea With foul -Smelling stools; worse after eating fruit. Fever with chill, great heat, followed by profuse sweating accompanied by intense thirst and prostration; bitter taste in mouth.
Cocculus indica 30: Complaints due to loss of sleep, anger or grief, travel sickness, nausea; nausea is felt in head and mouth; worse by thought, sight, or smell of food; inclination to vomit with profuse salivation.
Colocynth. 30: Complaints after anger; colic better from hard pressure or doubling up; menstrual colic with restlessness. Diarrhoea with copious, thin, frothy, yellowish stools with severe colic.
Conium mac. 30: Ailments of old women during and after climaxis and of old men and bachelors with rigid muscles. Complaints caused by blow or fall. Vertigo of old people. Swelling of the testicles and mammary glands without any pain. Bad effects of unsatisfied sexual desire.
Causticum 30: After effects of grief, worry, hopelessness, etc.; tears come easily; extremely sympathetic. Loss of voice; acute cold, constant and exccessive running,of nose; hard cough which racks the chest; burning pain in throat with soreness and rawness; hoaresness; chest seems full of mucous; urine escapes while coughing. Feeling of an empty space between the brain and the cranial bones; better by warmth. Menstrual colic. Dimness of vision; desire to close eyes, lids heavy, eye muscles weak. Drawing,and tearing pains in extremities especially at back of knee with stiffness or weakness; better in warm moist weather and by coughing up mucous.
Eupatorium perf 30: Influenza type fever, worse at 7 to 9 a.m., with chill, excessive thirst, pain in muscles, back and limbs; severe breaking pains in bones.
Ferrum phos. 30: Early stage of cold, fever, etc.; dullness; haemorrhage bright red, profuse; pulse rapid and full, but soft and compressible; thirst normal; sweat, which does not relieve; worse by touch, jar, motion and better by cold applications.
Gelsernium 30: Complaints from fright or apprehension, examination, fear, etc.; dullness; pain at the back of head with heaviness of eye lids and limbs; occipital headache ; bilious fever; 'olent, shaking chills, chills up and down the spine, wants to be held firmly; hot and cold by turns ; influenza like cold; loss of thirst. Tearing, tickling cough, better near the fire. Nervous diarrhoea. Vision dim, eye lid droops, feels heavy. Menses late, scanty and painful, pain extends to back or hips; worse least: movement, light or noise; patient wants to lie in a dark, quiet place. Conversation irritates. Better after passing urine.
Gionoine 6: Complaints after exposure to sun; dirobbing, bursting headache; head hot and congested; high fever; numbness of lower lip; chin feels elongated to knees. Migraine, worse in sun.
Hepar sulph. 30: Complaints from cold in any form. Cold, fever, etc., are worse from lea'st draught or even slightest uncovering of body parts; must be wrapped up properly. Oversensitive to pain, touch, cold, surroundings, change in atinosphere, etc.; irritable, cross and peevish. Suffocative cough, worse in cold, dry weather and inhaling cold air. Stitching pains in the ear, better by warmth. Sensation of fish bone in the throat. Teeth and gums sensitive to touch; gums bleed easily. Tonsilitis with hard of hearing. Burning, heaviness and pressure in stomach pit after meals.' craving for vinegar; severe bloating and frequent belching; thirst for hot drinks.
Hydrastis can. 30: Chronic cold; post-nasal catarrh. Pain in pit of stomach, vomits everything taken; taste bitter; aversion to bread and vegetables which aggravate the complaints, Stools constipated, hard, knotty, united by shreds of mucous.
Hypericum 200: Effects of shock, fright, and mesmerism; nerve injury; severe shooting pain; gnat or snake bite; spinal injury; low backache; bleeding piles; useful after tooth extraction.
Ignatia 200: Complaints due to emotional upset, excitement, etc., as from being physically abused or scolded; moods alternate; can't forget 6ad events; involuntary fear; fever; thirst during the chill stage only. Contradictory symptoms; worse by smoke.
lpecac 30: Complaints after eating rich food; headache, fever, nausea or vomiting; tongue clean. Gasping respiration; cold sweats on covered parts. Spasmodic suffocative cough with rattling in the chest; dyspnoea, feeling of weight in chest. Dysentery with constant desire to pass stool. Uterine haemorrhage, bleeding bright red, in gushes. Fever with chill accompanied by thirst, followed by heat all over the body, except extremities which remain icy cold and are covered with cold sweat.
Kreosote 30: Toothache due to caries. Putrid, foetid, and exhausting leucorrhoea. Coitus is followed by flow of blood next day.
Mag. phos. 30: Complaints better by heat, pressure, and walking. Early menstruation with neuralgic pains. Toothache better by heat and hot fluids.
Merc. sol. 30: Cold; violent sneezing; greenish yellow, of ensive discharge; nose red, swollen, shiny; sore throat; hoarse ness; dry cough worse by extremes of hot or cold and at night. Foul taste; profuse sweat but does'nt feel better after sweating; cold sweat while eating. Teeth tender, loose; gums spongy, bleed easily; gum boil. Influenza like fever associated with naso-pharyngeal symptoms. Worse in humid climate; creeping chills, cold feeling in patches. Milk in breasts of non pregnant woman at the menstrual period or in boys. Acute cold with excessive watering of nose. Complaints worse at night.
Natrum mur. 30: Acute cold tears or lachrimation while laughing, coughing, etc. Letters or stitches "run together," hot tears stream down face when reading.
Nux vomica 30: Complaints due to lack of sleep; worse from strong odours, after eating or over eating; Digestive disturbance; pain in stomach; vomiting; leather like tongue; foul taste. Patient irritable and quarrelsome, always tense. Chilly, hates wind;,sneezing, cold after exposure to dry cold with blockage and running of nose. Dry teasing or spasmodic cough with gagging and retching, worse uncovering; cough causes bursting headache; feels as if a nail was driven into skull. Diarrhoea alternates with constipation, stools ineffectual, mucous or blood with stool. Pain in lower back; muscles seem paralyzed; worse before rain, early morning, after over indulgence in alcohol. Sleeplessness after mental strain or over indulgence in alcohol or sex.
Opium 30: Complaints due to fright. Worse by warmth. NO urge to pass stools for days together; stools composed of little hard balls. Feels sleepy but can't sleep; clock striking at a distance keep her/him awake: Excessive foetal movements.
Phosphorus 30: Complaints after excitement, fear, worse from strong odours, when entering a room, or going from wartn into cold air. before thunderstorm, laughing, talking, eating, drinking, etc. Cold begins in chest or throat. Sneezing with pain in throat or head, one nostril blocked and the other discharging, often blood streaked phlegm. Dry, hard tickling cough; tickling in larynx, patient must hold chest while coughing on account of pain. Feels veil in front of eyes, sees better by shading eyes with hand. Fever and chill alternate; thirst during stage of heat and hungry during chills unable to drink water, even the sight of water makes him/her to vomit; bathes with closed eyes. Stiffness ofjoints. Craves for cold water and cold drinks-; vomiting soon after water becomes wann in stomach.
Podophyllum ' 30: Uncontrollable, early morning, painless, pro-, fuse, gushing diarrhoea; there may be colic also. Stools offensive. Worse after eating or drinking. During early months of pregnancy can lie comfortably only on stomach.
Pulsatilla 30: Complaints due to hot, stuffy atmosphere, eating rich fatty, variety food. Feels as if a stone is lying in the stomach; craving for in Loss of thirst. Mild and tearful temperamen any, likes open air. Persistent cold, stuffed at night or in warm room, otherwise thick, yellow, bland discharge. Better outdoors and worse in warm rooms. Dry, teasing, persistent cough interferes with sleep; digestion slow; desire to pass urine immediately after lying on back. Earache by getting chilled. Hot, profuse, yellow discharge from eyes. Styes on eyelids. Shooting pains in nape and other parts of body; periodical headache, legs feel heavy during day and ache at night. First sleep restless and sound sleep when it is,time to wake up. Suppression of menses after getting feet wet. Unbearable toothache better holding cold water in mouth; shifting pains; symptoms always changing and contradictory.
Rhus tox. 30: Complaints with restlessness of mind and body like rheumatic pains, etc.; dry, teasing cough with tickling in air tubes worse by rest and at night, better by movement. Taste of blood in mouth. Fever with weakness and prostration. Tongue thickly coated, but red at tip and red bo ' rder, great thirst; air sickness, nausea and vomiting accompanied with loss of appetite. Tearing pain down the thighs while passing stools in dysentery. Sweat all over the body except head.
Spongia 30: Dryness of mucous membranes of throat, larynx, tracliea, and bronchi. organic heart disease, palpitation with violent pain and gasping respiration. Dry, barking, croupy cough, worse during inspiration and at midnight. Loss Of voice.
Spigelia 30: Complaints from sight of needles, etc. Left sided headache.
Tabacum 30: Deathly nausea; abdominal complaints, better by uncovering abdomen. Intermittent heart in old people.
Veratrum alb. 30: Complaints after anger; body extremely cold, profuse cold sweat particularly on forehead and eyebrows; collapse due to intestinal haemorrhage; violent diarrhoea and vomiting with icy cold sweat; fever. Patient desires icy cold water and windows open. Hiccough after taking hot drinks or after vomiting. Unbearable pains in the head almost make the patient insane, with icy sensation in the vertex. Feels as if water he/she drank fell outside and did not go down the oesophagus.
